Benjamin Barbour | Co-founder, Lead Wealth Advisor
Ben is Co-Founder and Lead Advisor at Fountainhead Wealth Advisors. Ben grew up in Northern Virginia, and has helped hundreds of families in the area build sound investment strategies and retirement income plans.
Ben’s grandfather was a CPA and Financial Planner, and his influence led to a passion for finance and guiding people in managing their money. Prior to his start in financial services, he advised organizations such as NASA and Honda in developing workflows and implementing complex project management solutions and this diverse background gives him a unique approach to the financial planning process.
Ben graduated from George Mason University with a degree in Economics. He resides in Sterling, Virginia with his wife, Kristen, daughter Ava and two dogs, Lucy and Baron. On weekends, you will find the Barbours at their property on the Chesapeake Bay.
Kristen Barbour | Co-Founder, Director of Operations
Kristen oversees operations to ensure a seamless experience for our clients.
Kristen previously worked at a Fortune 500 consulting firm helping federal agencies design, build, and implement innovative technology solutions.
As with her past role, each new client has unique needs and her flexibility allows her to hone in on a client’s expectations, and fulfill them.
Nabeel Elnahal | Strategy Consultant
Driven by his desire to identify successful approaches for clients, Nabeel is entrusted to educate and implement solutions that optimize proceeds from asset sales and to develop reinvestment strategies delivering tax efficiency and long term value. Key to his approach is his mindfulness of clients' immediate and longer term income needs, tax and estate planning objectives, and personal lifestyle goals.
After graduating from the University of Virginia's undergraduate business school, Nabeel continued to American University's MS in Real Estate Finance program. While attending AU, Nabeel supported a multifamily investment sales group's consulting practice as the team's financial analyst for over $200 million in development, sales, and tax program analyses. Prior to joining Fountainhead Wealth Advisors, Nabeel also served as a capital markets consultant for real estate investors in DC, MD, and VA.
Marilyn Toledo Nino | Client Service Specialist
As the firm’s client service specialist, Marilyn is responsible for assisting clients and prospects in multiple ways. This includes scheduling client meetings and working with clients to complete applications and account paperwork. She handles all existing client service requests such as RMDs, withdrawal, and address changes.
Marilyn graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Economics from George Mason University. She also has an Associates of Arts in Business and Communication. She joined the FWA team in 2019 after graduating. She enjoys spending time with her family and her hobbies are jogging, baking and traveling.
